New clips of The Mandalorian and Grogu and behind the scenes footage from the film has been released courtesy of Lucasfilm. This comes just a week after we got new images and details such as the confirmation of character names and more.
In a new video titled “Grogu Joins the Conversation“, the film’s director Jon Favreau, Din Djarin himself Pedro Pascal plus Sigourney Weaver who plays Colonel Ward are joined by the little one. The group discuss the franchise’s return to the big screen.
“Because it is IMAX, because it is a movie, I wanted to recapture the feeling of when I first saw Star Wars. So, when we’re making this, we were using all the technology that’s available. And then, of course, we have a lot of classic stuff.” – Jon Favreau
“I mean, it was the coolest set I’ve ever been on.” – Pedro Pascal
This is the beginning of the press tour work we shall see from the cast and crew. It won’t be long before outlets as well as the official Star Wars social media channels will be bombarded with the usual interviews and activities. Before we get to that though, let’s take a look at all of the new footage.
New Film Footage
The new footage shown in this video showcases a variety of scenes. We get to see Din walking amongst droids into a fortress and even riding a STAP in it. Grogu has some fun moments meanwhile Din shoots his blaster a number of times in various action scenes. Behind The Scenes
A bunch of shots from this video show the behind the scenes of the film. Most of the footage shows off various sets made within The Volume. Fans will be able to spot the infamous vespa-inspired speeder bike from The Book of Boba Fett in one of them. There are also the Disneyland droids that were inspired by Jedi Fallen Order’s BD-1.
