Lucasfilm has hired Disney animation creative Natasha Kline to develop new projects. This news will no doubt excite fans of Lucasfilm’s animation offerings who are always looking for more Star Wars content in the medium.
According to DTVA News, the “Primos” creator recently signed a deal with Lucasfilm Animation and extended her Disney Television Animation contract. The could include shows, films and specials on Disney+ and Disney Channel.
The outlet’s owner Sebastián Córdova said on social media last night that animator Craig Bartlett stated Kline is making a new Star Wars animated project for both Lucasfilm Animation and Disney Television Animation (DTVA). As of now, details are under wraps.
Confirmation Of Lucasfilm Hiring

Kline’s personal LinkedIn confirms she is indeed working at Lucasfilm. Under the experience segment, it states she began working at Lucasfilm as a Story Artist from November 2025 where she is presently employed. It also reads “Developing new projects with Lucasfilm.”
According to her profile, Natasha has been working for Disney’s Television Animation arm for nearly 9 years. Before joining Lucasfilm, she is listed as a Story Artist for Disney as of January 2025 through to present day. The only info given for this job role is that she is “Developing new projects for kids’ television.”
Primos ran for one season in 2024 until 2025 and was not renewed. However, DTVA notes the award-nominated comedy has been one of the most streamed animation shows on the Disney+ platform per ParrotAnalytics and Nielsen.
Last month, The Wrap reported how Lucasfilm developed but later scrapped an Indiana Jones animated show. Indy fans have seen the the character continue through games but how about animation? It would be nice to see Lucasfilm circle back around to this idea and not just solely focus on Star Wars.
