Earlier today the first trailer for the second and final season of Andor released online ahead of the seasons premiere on April 22nd. However, along with the trailer and poster, something else which is exciting was revealed via a StarWars.com blog post – Andor season two will release three episodes a week starting from April 22nd.
Just like the first season, Andor season two will consist of twelve episodes, meaning the entire run of the second and final season will last only four weeks with the final batch of episodes releasing on May 13th.

- April 22nd – Episodes 1-3
- April 29th – Episodes 4-6
- May 6th – Episodes 7-9
- May 13th – Episodes 10-12
The rollout is quite a surprise (to be sure), but makes a whole lot of sense as every three episodes represents a new year which has previously revealed by the series creator, Tony Gilroy. The final group of episodes will take us right up until the start of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
I thought for sure we were going to get a one episode a week release aside from maybe the first week where we would’ve had two or three episodes, but how Andor season one released and how most Disney+ originals release these days. I for sure thought Disney would look to have us subscribed as long as possible to their streaming service, but in this situation, it appears as if the art and how fans should consume the season has come before maximising how long they can keep viewers paying.
Roll on April 22nd.
Oh and I forgot to include the Andor season two poster in my trailer coverage, so you can find it below.
