D23 Brazil is underway and later today, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios are set to give a joint presentation and will offer updates on a number of their upcoming projects. However, it seems one surprise on the Lucasfilm side may have slipped thanks to Disney+.
Before we continue with the article, I’d just like to share that if you’re a fan of Bespin Bulletin and would like to support the website, you can do show by tipping via Ko-Fi or my becoming a Patreon member. Any support would be greatly appreciated. The site was not been doing well, I haven’t been paid for most of the year, and Patreon numbers have been dwindling. So if you feel like helping me and the site outside, that would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, on with the news!
X user ThatWeirdAldo shared an image on the social media platform of an Andor season one poster in the Disney+ mobile app that revealed the second and final season of the series due to release on April 22nd, 2025. Other users attempted to see this poster in the app themselves, myself included, but it seems to be US specific. One Polish X user, Jajowniczek, shared that he got the image to show when he entered the American desktop version of Disney+, where again, the April 22nd date was present.

Andor season two was expected to be present at the event and has a promotional image on the D23 Brazil floor which see’s Cassian Andor on Yavin IV. Disney has shown various looks at Andor for those in attendance at conventions such as D23 earlier this year and Star Wars Celebration last year, so fans attending D23 Brazil this weekend were expecting or hoping to get a glimpse themselves.

It’s unclear if Lucasfilm will debut whatever trailer for the second and final season online after it’s shown to the D23 Brazil crowd. I had expected them not to drop a trailer/teaser online as the company is gearing up to promote and release their next live-action series, Skeleton Crew, which debuts on Disney+ on December 3rd with two episodes. I didn’t expect to see an Andor trailer release officially until mid-January once Skeleton Crew had concluded its run. That’s not based on any information, just personal speculation, and this might still be the case. Lucasfilm could very well debut a trailer for those in attendance, announce the release date, but keep hold of the trailer for another two months.
It was reported earlier this week that Lucasfilm were slated to show those in attendance a first look at Andor season two, as well as The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first theatrical Star Wars film since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. The Mandalorian and Grogu is nearing the end of filming and is slated to release on May 22nd, 2026.
