New features are coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 in the coming weeks ahead of even more content later this year. The Force continues to be strong with Battlefront 2 community.
The team behind the game launcher known as Kyber that enables all these new features have provided fans with a development update. There’s a lot to be excited about and highly requested features by players are finally being implemented.
It has been some time since we last heard from the Kyber team. Previously, a big update containing a plethora of fan requested features was scheduled for May but now even June has been and gone. It’s important to remember that this is a community-driven project and done on a voluntary basis. Even though timelines have shifted, it is integral of that the developers to release a polished product rather than something that is broken. That is their philosophy.
Let’s now take a look at what has been published by the Kyber team in their Discord regarding the future of the platform. Next up for Kyber is the Party Update. It is said to be “the largest single update to KYBER since the V2 update”.
This update will include:
- Party & Group system
- Network optimisations
- AFK timer
- Chat filter
- UI improvements
- Teleport commands
- Battle Point modifiers
- Damage and cooldown modifiers
- and more

They end the message by showing a gif of Battlefront 2’s Mos Eisley map with LEGO Star Wars stud currency on the floor.
Looking ahead, The Kyber team say they will reveal more about the next update in the coming weeks. There will also be new content coming to the official Kyber servers thanks to a new Battlefront Plus update.
“We’re tracking very healthy player numbers this summer, with thousands of new players joining the fight every week.”
In recent Battlefront 2 news, the game was one of the most downloaded games on PlayStation last month and here’s why.
