We’ve got some exciting news for Star Wars Galactic Racer fans. The One of 2026’s most anticipated games and the debut title from Fuse Games will be getting a physical edition as part of a new distribution agreement. Let’s dive into this welcomed news.
Since the game was announced during The Game Awards back in December, we’ve heard quite a bit from Fuse Games’ leaders and even an additional gameplay trailer. However, there is still no release date other than 2026 and no pre-order information at the time of writing. Whilst the game has store listings on Xbox, Epic, Steam and PlayStation for wish listing, there has been no sign of it showing up at online retail stores. Thankfully, that will soon change.
Bounty Secured
In a press release published on Thursday, PLAION announced they had acquired the rights to distribute physical copies of Star Wars Galactic Racer. The Austrian subsidiary of Embracer Group along with the game’s publisher have revealed they have put pen to paper on an agreement.
PLAION say they will be taking care of the game’s physical games logistics, distribution and retail sales operations. This will cover “all key international territories” for a worldwide physical release. No details on a release date or price have been provided just yet.
CEO of PLAION Partners, Craig McNicol has said the company are “delighted” to have this partnership with Fuse Games and Secret Mode. The latter are the game’s publisher.
The CEO goes onto say that “Securing the mandate for worldwide physical distribution of such an exciting title underscores the strength of our retail relationships, our expert teams around the world and our extensive experience within the physical games space. We are committed to delivering top-tier products to players everywhere and look forward to a strong global launch.”

Secret Mode’s Commercial Director Alison Fraser echoed McNicol’s feelings. The publisher say they fully believe in PLAION to deliver success for Galactic Racer.

It will be interesting to see if a Collector’s Edition can be cooked up in time for a physical release at launch. We’ll just have to wait and see if it will be more than a disc copy of both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Star Wars Galactic Racer will speed onto PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026.
