Star Wars Jedi: Survivor listed for a March release in PlayStation’s database

According to Twitter account, PlaystationSize, an account that monitors the back end of the PlayStation Network and store, Jedi: Survivor, is listed for a March release according to the PlayStation Network’s database. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a March release for the upcoming Fallen Order sequel, as it was previously reported back in May by GiantBomb’s Jeff Grubb that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was looking to release in February or March of 2023.

Around the same time as Grubb’s comments, EA themselves revealed that they planned on releasing four currently unannounced video games in addition to their annual releases by the end of March 2023. Those projects are a major IP, a partner title, a remake, and a sports title. Though Respawn and EA revealed they are working on a sequel to Fallen Order, the game hadn’t been formally been announced at that time and this led fans to speculate the partner title is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor due to the partnership with Lucasfilm, however others have theorised that it could be a new title from Josef Fares’ Hazelight (It Takes Two, A Way Out). However with Grubb’s claims, and Jedi: Survivor being listed for a March release in the PlayStation database, it seems more than likely the partner title is Jedi: Survivor and will be releasing in March of 2023.

EA have typically released a Star Wars video game around the time of a release or amidst a big promotional campaign for a live-action Star Wars project. Both of EA’s Battlefront titles released one month before a Star Wars movie (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi), Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released during the same month of season one of The Mandalorian and one month ahead of The Rise of Skywalker, and EA’s most recent release, Star Wars: Squadrons, released during the same month as the second season of The Mandalorian back in 2020. If Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is releasing in March, it’ll likely release whilst the highly anticipated third season of The Mandalorian is airing as the series is due to release in February.
