Star Wars Jedi: Survivor promotion to start in December; Still on track for a March release

Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything on Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we’ve actually not heard anything since it’s reveal at Star Wars Celebration back in May, and it’s led some fans to wonder if the title might’ve suffered a delay. That appears not to be the case and GiantBomb’s Jeff Grubb has provided some insight.

According to Grubb during his Games Mess Morning Podcast, Jedi Survivor has not suffered an internal delay and is very much still on course to release sometime in March. Grubb added that EA always planned for a short promotional window for the Jedi: Fallen Order sequel and that Grubb anticipates that we’ll see promotion for Jedi Survivor this December, with my belief being, due to my sources, that a new trailer will debut during this years Game Awards which takes place on December 8th.

“I was looking into why haven’t we hard about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor anytime recently and you know it’s still on track for that March release date that we’ve been saying this whole time and as EA has been saying to it’s investors in earnings reports this entire time that their big partner game is coming, and that’s always been Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. But it’s October, that’s five months, less than five months away so why haven’t we heard about it? Well they have a plan and they’re going to be talking about it in December and go right into a release, there’s no issue with the game right now, who knows something could change there, but right now there’s no issue and it was always the plan to have a short window to promote and they don’t think that’ll have any negative affect.” – Jeff Grubb

As mentioned by Grubb, who first revealed Survivor was aiming to release in March, EA has consistently talked about a partner IP (Survivor) releasing before the end of the fiscal year during earnings calls this year and previously back end data on the PlayStation Network also had Jedi Survivor listed for a March release. Grubb has established himself as one of the most reliable insiders and journalists within the video game industry and I fully trust Grubb and his sources, so expect Jedi Survivor to release in March.
