Back in December a mysterious Star Wars project was revealed thanks to a Lucasfilm crew gift which featured a logo for the unannounced project, Tales of Jedi, and until now Lucasfilm have not revealed anything about Tales or even acknowledged it’s existence.
Just a few weeks back The Tales of the Jedi panel was first leaked by YouTuber Star Wars Santa, and today the Tales of the Jedi panel was of officially announced by Lucasfilm as part of the upcoming Star Wars Celebration which runs from May 26th until the 29th. Tales’ panel would take place on the Galaxy Stage on May 28th and will be hosted by Amy Ratcliffe. However the most interesting tidbits in the description revealed that Tales of the Jedi is a series of animated anthology shorts, and that Dave Filoni will be a special guest at the panel indicating his involvement with the project.
Filoni’s involvement is what personally interests me the most and due to his involvement I suspect whatever these shorts follow will more than likely be canon. My mind wanders as to what Jedi the series of shorts will focus on, perhaps the Jedi of the Clone Wars era, perhaps Ahsoka or Ezra, we currently have no idea, but the possibilities are exciting and seeing Filoni’s involvement was unexpected, but has now made me far more excited for the panel.
