During Disney’s APAC content showcase, Lucasfilm announced the third season of Star Wars: Visions, setting a broad 2025 release window and announcing the nine anime studios that are working on episodes for the season.
Before we continue with the article, I’d just like to share that you can now find Bespin Bulletin on Blue Sky. Also, if you’re a fan of Bespin Bulletin and would like to support the website, you can do show by tipping via Ko-Fi or my becoming a Patreon member. Any support would be greatly appreciated. The site has not been doing well, I haven’t been paid for most of the year, and Patreon numbers have been dwindling. So if you feel like helping me and the site out, that would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, on with the news!
The first season of Visions featured only Japanese anime studios, whereas the second featured animation studios from across the globe including the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, India, France and more. Season three will return the series to Japanese anime studios. Four studios that previously worked on season one are returning for season three and five new studios have been included on the list of those producing episodes for the third season.
The four returning studios are Kamikaze Douga, the studio previously produced the Visions episode The Duel, Kinema Citrus Co. who produced the episode The Village Bride, Production IG who produced The Ninth Jedi and TRIGGER who produced two episodes for the first season of Visions, The Twins and The Elder.

The five new studios working on episodes for Star Wars: Visions season three are Anima, who will have an episode co-produced by Kamikaze Douga, David Production, Polygon Pictures, Project Studio Q, and WIT Studio.
Anima’s previous work includes Sand Land, a series created by the late Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball fame, .hack//The Movie, Cat Sh** One, and Fire Emblem: Heroes – Book V Ending Movie.
David Production’s past works includes Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Undead Unluck, Fire Force and Inu x Boku SS.
Polygon Pictures past works includes Blame! The Movie, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: The Planet Eater, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, and Human Lost.
Project Q Studio has previously assisted on Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, Darling in Franx, Sakura Wars and Hypnosis Mic – Division Rap Battle – Rhyme Anima.
WIT Studio’s previous works include Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Spy x Family, Ranking of Kings and are currently working on the One Piece remake.
Of the new studios, undoubtedly most anime watchers (myself included) will be looking forward to seeing what WIT Studio and David Production produce after working on such high profile and acclaimed anime series such as Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Vinland Saga, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Fire Force. And I have zero complaints about who Lucasfilm selected as the returning studios as they produced some of the highlights of season one.
