Star Wars Zero Company was one of the best selling games of August despite being on sale for just 1 week. A new report has reviewed data on game sales for its launch month across a number of major markets.
Analytics firm Newzoo shared the PC and console game charts for August with GamesIndustry.biz on Thursday. Star Wars Zero Company came 6th on the PC revenue chart. This is all money made across game sales and microtransactions and money spent in the USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. That’s a good turn out for various reasons.
For starters, the game was only on the market for less than a week at the end of August. Plus, the game costs just $49.99 / £39.99 undercutting most new releases. The chart also contains free to play titles such as League of Legends, Fortnite and Valorant. If we did not include F2P games, Zero Company would be 3rd behind Big Walk and Counter Strike 2. The latter likely made more in cases than copies sold.
Star Wars Zero Company benefitted from “combined visibility of a globally recognised IP with strong reviews and positive word-of-mouth.”
Newzoo market analyst Mert Åžahin

In terms of console revenue, it snuck into the top 20 in 20th position. It continues to be evident how few people are playing the game on console in comparison to PC. As for US specific charts from Circana, we’ll be getting those next week so stay tuned as we’ll be reporting on them once they’re live.
In other Zero Company news, a new patch was released a few days ago and early screenshots of the game have been revealed plus the developers discuss whether they could bring the game to more platforms one day. Plus, the game has sold more than 1 million copies earning around $50m. Learn more here.
