The Book of Boba Fett premiering December 29th! First poster released

Disney and Lucasfilm have officially announced the premiere date for The Book of Boba Fett and released the first official poster alongside it.

Today Disney and Lucasfilm announced that The Book of Boba Fett will hit our screens on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 and released a poster giving us a new look at the bounty hunter. We’ve known since December last year that Fett would release in December of 2021, but it seems to be hitting a tad later than initially announced as Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy previously revealed that the series would release Christmas, but arguably, this is still regarded as the Christmas period.

The image gives us a new look at Fett and addresses the rumours of Boba getting a new look. From the image we can see that the armour itself looks to be the same one from the end of The Mandalorianseason two, just with more wear and tear which along with a simple black flight suit which is something my sources had previously told me, so its good to get confirmation on that and Fett is also now sporting some sexy red boot and has ditched his cloak. Below you can see a brightened version of the poster, giving us a better look at Fett.

People may be wondering about a trailer as typically once a poster has been released, a trailer isn’t too far behind. I have long speculated that perhaps we’d get a trailer in October, as Disney more recently has been pushing out trailers for their big tent pole series such as Loki, Hawkeye and The Falcon and the Winter Solider, roughly two months ahead of the series release month which was a change from Disney previously releasing trailers one month ahead of release as they did with The Mandalorianseason two and WandaVision. However Disney+ day is on November 12th and would be roughly six weeks out from the release of The Book of Boba Fett, so they could hold the trailer until said date.

Disney also released a brief synopsis on the upcoming series, “The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”

It’s great to finally get a release date for The Book of Boba Fett and I can’t wait for it to hit our screens this December! Another happy landing!
