Lucasfilm, Disney and their product partners are set to unveil a haul of new The Mandalorian and Grogu items. As we get ever closer to the release of the first Star Wars film on the big screen in nearly 7 years, we’ll be drowning in new offerings.
In the days following The Mandalorian and Grogu’s underwhelming showing at the the Super Bowl, additional marketing in the form of toys and more are days away from being shown off.
Firstly, it was exclusively reported by Collider that Disney are going to launch a new merchandise initiative called Blockbuster Season. This campaign will promote lots of new licensed products from across Disney’s upcoming slate of films such as Toy Story 5 and of course The Mandalorian and Grogu. According to the outlet, the first film to start off “Blockbuster Season” will be The Mandalorian and Grogu
This campaign will also be kicked off at New York Toy Fair this weekend so we’ll see new Star Wars toys announced here. We can probably expect the recently leaked LEGO Star Wars sets based on the new movie to get officially revealed here. The event will take place from Saturday through Tuesday.
Turning our attention to Funko Pop! figures now. According to Funko Pop! insider DisTrackers, there will be 7 new The Mandalorian and Grogu figures revealed this week. The date they have for the reveal is Friday 13th February. It will be interesting to see what will be up for purchase.
As part of the film’s marketing and the “Blockbuster Season” event, we’ll see far more than just toys. It should be a busy end to the week for Star Wars consumers with lots of new items to take a look at.
