The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer has finally arrived and it shows off lots of new scenes from the upcoming movie. This second trailer has been highly anticipated for quite some time and now fans have been given what they asked for. This new look at the film also confirms some of our reporting from last year about the picture.
On Monday evening, Lucasfilm shared a teaser for the trailer on social media. Less than 24 hours later the full trailer has dropped and fans are in a much better mood. From the action sequences to Pedro Pascal unmasked as Din Djarin multiple times in this trailer, this is what we’ve looking for.
Scoops Confirmed
Directed by Jon Favreau, the trailer showcases lots of new characters and some familiar faces. It gives is our first look at live-action Embo (from The Clone Wars). We previously leaked Embo would be the film’s villain in January 2025. You can learn more here.
Plus, we get a another look at grown up, buff, Rotta the Hutt which we also reported on here. Mando and Rotta battle it out in a gladiator arena during this new trailer; something detailed in our exclusive report here.

This is Lucasfilm’s first Star Wars film to hit theatres since 2019’s Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. By pivoting from TV show seasons to a standalone movie, Disney and Lucasfilm are betting big on the “Mando-Verse” to help revitalize the Star Wars brand after several tainted years aside from the rare gem such as Andor.
So far, the marketing has not worked and excitement is lower than expected. That said, this trailer has seemingly helped. Whether it is enough to get far more people in seats on May 22nd is another question. With three months to go, let’s hope Lucasfilm and Disney and show the fans why they should care about this theatrical release.
New Poster
A new poster for the film was also published online by Lucasfilm. It shows Grogu on Din’s back as The Mandalorian readies his blaster pistol. You can check it out below.
