Following the earlier report from MakingStarWars which revealed when fans could expect the next trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian, as well as additional details regarding the trailer, the outlet has now followed up that the third season will premiere on Disney+ on February 22nd, 2023.
Back at Star Wars Celebration it was revealed that the highly anticipated third season of the hit streaming series would debut sometime in February, but months later doubts begin to arise as various official social media accounts for The Mandalorian removed February from their bios with simply 2023 left as the window. If the report is accurate then fans have nothing to worry about and we’ll finally get to see the third season in under four months time.
If the third season of The Mandalorian sticks to one episode a week, season three should wrap up on April 12th, just a couple of days after Star Wars Celebration London wraps up. Unlike Obi-Wan Kenobi I don’t foresee an episode being shown to those in attendance, especially given that the episode in question will be the season finale and Lucasfilm will likely try and hold spoilers getting out early.
Following the release of The Mandalorian season three, two additional live-action Star Wars series are scheduled to be released in 2023, Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew. No release windows have been announced for either series, but Ahsoka is expected to debut before Skeleton Crew. The fourth season of The Mandalorian is reportedly gearing up to begin filming imminently, but will likely release in 2024 along with The Acolyte and the second season of Andor.
