Over three years ago Star Wars: Hunters was announced during a Nintendo Direct, and now it finally has an official release date of June 4th, 2024.
Hunters is a free-to-play squad based area shooter from Zynga and NaturalMotion which uses an unspecified version of Unreal Engine. Hunters features a diverse cast of species from the Star Wars universe and includes Bounty Hunters, Mandalorian’s, Wookiee’s, Stortrooper’s, Force Users and more. The game was soft launched in late 2021 in various countries such as India, Australia and Indonesia via the Google Play store following its reveal and announcement from the aforementioned Nintendo Direct.
Following the soft launch, Zynga confirmed plans to release the title in 2022, with Hunters aiming to be playable on Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch devices. However, Hunters was delayed to an unspecified time in 2023, but once again that date was shifted as Hunters suffered a delay into 2024. That brings us to the official release date announcement of today which came courtesy of a new trailer.
You can pre-register for Star Wars: Hunters on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store which will earn players exclusive rewards. The game can also be pre-loaded in some regions.
Star Wars: Hunters will release June 4th, 2024 on Nintendo Switch along with Apple and Android devices. There are no plans for a launch on Xbox or PlayStation at this time.
