Disney announced Disney+ Day a couple of months ago and teased special looks at their upcoming TV series which led many fans to speculate if this is where we’ll get our first look at The Book of Boba Fett and updates on future Star Wars series

Today via D23.com, Disney announced a slate of content premiering on the Disney+ streaming service on November 12th including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten RingsJungle Cruise and the Home Alone reboot, Home Sweet Home Alone to name a few. Regarding Star Wars content Disney said the following, “A special celebrating the origins and legacy of Star Wars’ legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett”. So it appears we’re getting a special for the beloved character on Disney+ on November 12th. In the same press release, Disney reaffirms that Disney+ Day will showcase new trailers, first looks and breaking news.

Now, with Disney premiering a special on the character and previously announcing a special look at upcoming Disney+ series and projects, one has to wonder if we’ll get our first trailer for the highly anticipated The Book of Boba Fett. Disney have been releasing trailers for their more recent Marvel Studios live-action series around two months ahead of their release, Loki’s trailer was released in April and the series began releasing in June, The Falcon and the Winter Solider trailer debuted in February and the series began in April and Hawkeye’s trailer released earlier this month in anticipation of its late November release. This in itself is a bit of a change up from Disney’s previous way of marketing it’s Disney+ series as The Mandalorian season two trailer debuted in October ahead of the season premiere in November and WandaVision’s trailer released in December, ahead of its January release. An October release for the first trailer for The Book of Boba Fett isn’t out of the question in my opinion given Disney’s recent marketing of their top-tier Disney+ content, but November 12th seems more likely.

Hopefully on November 12th we get updates on other upcoming Star Wars series. Fingers crossed for Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
