Hello there! Before we crack on with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

Back in 2019, Michelle Rejwan was promoted to the role of Senior Vice President of Live Action Development and Production at Lucasfilm after acting as producer on both Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and was a member of the Lucasfilm brain trust dating back to 2015. Just three years following the announcement, Deadline are reporting that Rejwan has chosen to step down from the role.

During her tenure, Rejwan executive produced the hit Disney+ series, Obi-Wan Kenobi along with Andor that’s currently airing and the upcoming Willow series. Rejwan is also still listed as a producer on the upcoming untitled Star Wars film from Taika Waititi. Rejwan’s role saw her oversee all theatrical and direct to consumer live-action content and was responsible for identifying and delivering future projects for Lucasfilm.

Despite Rejwan stepping down from the SVP of live action development and production at Lucasfilm, she has struck a new deal with Disney and Lucasfilm. Michelle Rejwan has now signed an overall deal with Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios as a full-time producer, so expect to see Rejwan’s name attached to many more projects in a galaxy far, far away.
