Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

It’s was reported back in September that Ariel Kleiman (Yellowjackets) had joined the directors list and that he’d be handling the first three episodes of the season, now Collider have exclusively revealed thanks to a conversation with Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy the other directors joining Kleiman for season two.

First up we have Janus Metz who’s probably best known for directing an episode of True Detective season one, and more recently directed the Amazon Prime Video original film, All The Old Knives, starring Chris Pine (Star Trek, Don’t Worry Darling) and Solo’s Thandie Newton. Also joining Kleiman and Metz is Alonso Ruizpalacios who most recently directed episodes of the Josh Brolin led Amazon Prime Video series, Outer Range, and previously directed episodes of the Diego Luna led Netflix series, Narcos: Mexico.

Gilroy also revealed to the outlet that Kleiman would be handling six episodes of Andor season two, which will be split into two separate blocks just as Toby Haynes did for Andor season one. We know from past comments from Gilroy and as previously mentioned in this article that Kleiman will direct the first three, so you’d assume he’d likely handle for the final three in addition.

Andor season two begins filming in the United Kingdom later this month with production running up until August. The second season won’t be released until the latter half of 2024, but we’ll have plenty of live-action Star Wars content to keep us fat and satisfied with the likes of The Mandalorian season three, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte.
