Hello there! Before we continue with the article, I kindly ask for you to consider showing your support and appreciation for my work by tipping me via my Ko-Fi page here. Tips are quite rare around these parts, but I assure you no matter how big or small, each tip is deeply appreciated. Now, let’s get on with the news!

Yesterday Studio Ghibli, the iconic Japanese animation studio famous for films such as My Neighbor Toroto, Princess Monoke, Castle in the Sky and more, revealed that they had a mysterious upcoming collaboration with Lucasfilm. Many fans got very excited at the idea of a film from the the studios, or for Ghibli to contribute to the second season of Star Wars: Visions, but if you read my article on the matter then you’d have known my belief that the collaboration was for a Disney Zen short titled, Grogu and the Dust Bunnies, due to the title of the Zen short being revealed by Disney+ Italy last week and the fact that the Dust Bunnies feature in Ghibli’s, My Neighbor Toroto, and now Disney and Studio Ghibli have confirmed it to be the case.

Not much is known about the short that’s set to debut on Disney+ tomorrow, but we know that co-founder of Studio Ghibli, and one of the most accomplished film makers of all time, Hayao Miyazaki, will not be directing the short, that duty is left to Katsuya Kondo (Ponyo, From Up Poppy Hill) and music will be provided by Ludwig Göransson (The Mandalorian, Creed, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever). Grogu and the Dust Bunnies serves as an entry in the Disney Zen anthology series which focuses on sounds and visuals from some of Disney’s most iconic franchises.
