Earlier today a member of The Mandalorian season three’s costume department shared an Instagram post revealing she and her department had wrapped up on the highly anticipated third season, this led fans to speculate if the season as a whole had officially wrapped. Covering the post, I speculated that we’d get official word from somebody working on the series as it’s been the case with the people previous two seasons, and now Greef Karga himself, Carl Weathers, has taken to Twitter to confirm the news.

Quote tweeting Star Wars Stuff’s tweet that read ‘#TheMandalorian Season 3 has wrapped filming” alongside the image shared by the costume department member, Weathers wrote, “…and what a season of WONDERFULNESS! #BePeace” thus confirming the rumours.

Weathers has proven be a great source of information for this season, previously revealing in August last year that the season was due to begin filming the following month, and that he was returning as Karga and as a director. It’s not known how many episodes Weathers is returning to direct, but he previously directed Chapter 12: The Siege.

The Mandalorian season three began filming in late September 2021 at Manhattan Beach Studios, and was initially due to wrap at the start of March, but shooting lasted a bit longer than initially expected. The Mandalorian typically releases eleven to thirteen months following the start of filming, which gives fans hope that we’ll see the third season before the end of the year, which I’m fairly confident will happen.

I’m also currently sitting on information on the third season which I’ll release soon so stay tuned.
