According to a report from MakingStarWars, Darth Vader will be making an appearance in the upcoming Ahsoka series during a “significant sequence”. The report didn’t add much more additional information but one tidbit mentioned that Tom O’Connel returning for the scenes.
Tom O’Connel played Darth Vader during fight scenes in Obi-Wan Kenobi, whilst Hayden Christensen played Vader in scenes where his face was shown, and Dmitrious Bistrevsky played Vader in scenes where the Sith Lord was standing, sitting or walking. According to the report only O’Connel is returning and we know from past reports that Christensen is also returning. With Bistrevsky not returning, it leads one to speculate that perhaps the “significant scenes” are fight scenes with many fans speculating that perhaps we’ll get a live-action version of the Ahsoka and Vader duel from Star Wars: Rebels in Ahsoka.
The report also mentions that the new Vader suit created for Ahsoka does not look the same as the one seen in Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the outlet believing it’s not a suit we’ve seen in live-action before.
The recent article follows reports from June where MakingStarWars reported that the Darth Vader team for Obi-Wan Kenobi was being reassembled, but they did not know for what project. I corroborated the report as I’d heard the same from my own sources, but added that it was for the upcoming Ahsoka series.
