Lucasfilm and Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast have announced an unexpected collaboration. Dungeons & Dragons x Star Wars is coming and we have all the (limited) details confirmed so far.
Announced during the D&D Vision Keynote and Gen Con in Indiana on Friday, Dungeons & Dragons revealed that D&D | Star Wars: The Season of Rebellion will be coming in 2027.
No specific month has been confirmed just the yet. That’s also pretty much everything that has been provided to us so far; that we’re getting D&D Star Wars set during the time of the Galactic Civil War. D&D’s official social media accounts do say “Stay tuned for more details”. Perhaps a full reveal at Star Wars Celebration in April?
The only images we have of this collaboration is the logo as shown above plus keynote stage featured Darth Vader making an appearance on stage brandishing his Lightsaber as seen in below.

The response from fans has been mixed. Star Wars fans are obviously delighted. In contrast, die-hard D&D consumers are really not pleased with the mixing of IP. Some have legitimate concerns whereas others are clearly upset for the wrong reasons. It will be interesting to see how it fairs when it does release at some point next year. What do you think to this collaboration, are you excited?
