Lucasfilm, Disney and Epic Games made an unexpected announcement at D23 on Saturday night. A brand new game from the companies is coming and it mixes both Fortnite and your in real life experience at Disneyland.
Previously we reported on how reputable Fortnite leakers shared upcoming Star Wars content. The content creators all said this was connected to Star Wars Zero Company. Based on the names of the leaked items, there was no initial connection to what we know about the upcoming tactics game. The leak is just seemingly have assumed it was for that game. Instead they were completely wrong and it was for an all new Star Wars game.
During the Disney Parks panel at D23, The Walt Disney Company unveiled a first-of-its-kind Star Wars game. Titled Smugglers Gambit, The game connects both Fortnite and Disneyland in real life. This expands the current Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run run ride found at Disneyland and Disney World.
Game Details
Smugglers Gambit has been developed in-house by Disney Games and Digital Entertainment. It is set around Mersa Veta Station on the planet Ord Ryla and its Mersa Veta Station. The experience puts players right in the middle of the kind of risky business Hondo seems to specialize in.
“In Smugglers Gambit, you’ll explore Mersa Veta Station and take on quests across Ord Ryla to become one of the Outer Rim’s most infamous smugglers, where you can level up and team up in co-op missions to battle pirates, Imperial remnants, and dangerous wildlife.
Continue the adventure in-person at the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction in Galaxy’s Edge with a special mission from Hondo Ohnaka himself!
Accept the mission and link your eligible Epic Games and MyDisney accounts before or after you ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to unlock a reward back in Smugglers Gambit.”

In-Game Rewards
As mentioned above, visiting Disneyland and going on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride will gift you an exclusive “Forsworn Trooper” Skin. This is quite possibly the most expensive Fortnite skin ever. Playing the new Fortnite game will earn you rewards such as the “Hunk of Junk” Loading Screen, a Spray and Emoticon.

The Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run | Fortnite experience launches on Sunday August 16th within Fortnite and when doors open at the Disney Parks. It is free for anyone with a valid theme park admission and is available to any guest who accepts the special mission. Accept the mission in the Disneyland app or the My Disney Experience app, before riding to be detected on the attraction.
