Star Wars Zero Company Was A Top 10 Most Played Game Last Week

Star Wars Zero Company was a top 10 game for amount of players during launch weekk according to new data. We also get an interesting insight into platform split and more and there is a first for a modern Star Wars game.

The debut game from Bit Reactor has been a top seller on Steam since just before its launch but how did that translate into actual players? The game was the 9th most played title on Steam in terms of unique active users for the week ending August 29th according to Circana.

That’s just a couple of days after it came out and before it reached a peak of nearly 80,000 concurrent players on Valve’s platform. Impressive. Most impressive. It was the only new entry on the list but still a great achievement nonetheless.

More interestingly is the split across platforms. As per Circana, Zero Company placed just 98th on XBOX and 121st on PlayStation. Of course, games in this genre tend to do best on PC. That was the expectation here too. The difference is Star Wars games for the longest time has only ever seen a small percentage of players get the PC version at launch.

    An Upwards Trajectory?

That said, True Achievements are reporting a 20% increase in XBOX players for the game in week 2 over week 1. That’s a rare feat in games on XBOX. Launch week had it in 49th place but it achieved 35th position a week later. It is worth noting TR’s data is from a smaller pool of players compared to Circana but this is still a good indication. Let’s see what future Circana data gives us.

This information comes after the game was one of the most downloaded games on PS5 last month. You can learn more here. On Thursday, Bit Reactor released the first post launch patch for the game. Check out the patch notes here.
