Both Star Wars Zero Company and Star Wars Battlefront 2 were top downloaded PlayStation games last month. New data published by PlayStation reveal the latest Star Wars game managed to get into the top few most downloaded PS5 titles recently and the beloved Battlefront also is hanging on to the top 20.
This week, PlayStation released their monthly game charts for PS5, PS4, PSVR and F2P game downloads as they do at the start of each month. These charts cover the previous month so we now have the data for August.
According to Sony’s gaming division, Star Wars Zero Company was the 11th most downloaded PS5 game in August across the USA & Canada plus all of Europe. Bit Reactor’s first game only dropped 5 days before the end of the month so it did not have a full month to gain positions.
In contrast, games such as EA Sports Madden NFL 27 and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls had a few weeks to achieve higher download numbers. The game hit nearly 80,000 concurrent plays several days after launch on Steam which is a mightily impressive stat.
Battlefront Is Back

As for Star Wars Battlefront II, it was the 19th most downloaded PS4 title in the USA and Canada. This is return to form after dropping out of the top 20 charts in July. It previously had a year peak of 1st place back in May.
As we have stated before, it is important to remember that the PS4 download charts contain downloads made to both PS4 and PS5 consoles. There is no native PS5 version of Battlefront 2 so all downloads are classed in the PS4 charts.
In other Battlefront news, fans should be seeing some new content and updates as part of the community-made project known as Kyber in the coming weeks.
