    Upcoming Star Wars Game Codenames

    Codenames or working titles have a long history with Star Wars films and shows but something we feel isn’t widely known are the Star Wars game codenames. Some are quite interesting and just fun pieces of info. So, we thought we’d put together a list containing the project codenames for every single upcoming Star Wars game as well as the past decade’s worth of games including cancelled titles.

    It is important to note that not every codename, in fact the majority, have no connection in relation to these games. We know from those familiar with the matter that some names are picked by people outside of the development team and bear no relevance to the project. That said, it’s fun to learn what the developers refer to the game internally.

    Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic

    Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic’s codename is Modesto. George Lucas was born in Modesto, California and attended school there.

    Star Wars Galactic Racer

    Star Wars Galactic Racer’s codename is Project Griffin.

    Star Wars Zero Company

    Star Wars Zero Company’s codename is Bruno.

    Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake

    The codename for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake is Project Romeo. The codename for the KOTOR II Remake is Project Juliet. At the time of writing, the KOTOR II Remake is just a plan on paper.

    Project S is the codename for Star Wars Eclipse.

    MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains

    The MONOPOLY Star Wars Heroes vs Villains’ codename is Artemis.

    The codename for Skydance New Media’s untitled Star Wars game is Project Walton.

    The codename for Star Wars Outlaws was Project Helix.

    Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

    The codename for Star Wars Survivor was Applejack.

    Star Wars Hunters

    The codename for Star Wars Hunters was Gemini.

    LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga

    The codename for LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga was Paddington. Paddington Bear is a character from British children’s literature. Developers Tt Games are based in the UK

    Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge

    The codename for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge was Taco.

    Star Wars Squadrons

    The codename for Star Wars Squadrons was Project Maverick. Maverick is the alias of Top Gun’s protagonist Peter Mitchell.

    Star Wars Battlefront II

    The codename for Star Wars Battlefront II was Walrus.

    LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens

    The codename for LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens was Douglas.

    Star Wars Battlefront

    The codename for Star Wars Battlefront was Whiteshark.

    EA Vancouver’s Star Wars Open World Game

    The codename for EA Vancouver’s Star Wars open world game was Orca. This followed in EA’s aquatic animal naming scheme after Battlefront.

    Criterion’s Star Wars Battlefront Spinoff

    The codename for Criterion’s Star Wars Battlefront Spinoff was Viking.

    Visceral’s Open World Star Wars Game

    The codename for Visceral’s Open World Star Wars Game was Project Ragtag. The game’s main crew were described as a ragtag bunch.
