MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains, a new video game developed by Behavior Interactive and published by Ubisoft, has been fully revealed as part of Star Wars day-related festivities.
Two new videos have been published by Ubisoft; a World Premiere Trailer and Gameplay Overview Trailer. Both showcase the game’s artstyle and atmosphere. The latter shows off actual gameplay and goes into more detail on how this game will work.
MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains is a new take on the classic game. It is not just a simple reskin but rather a game with new twists. The game has special tiles new for this version and 3D dioramas placed in the middle of the board.
Your task will be to capture bases and outposts in 22 iconic locations across the galaxy such as Coruscant, Hoth, Tatooine, Mustafar and more. Landing on the same tile as another player triggers a dice battle to determine who gets control of the location.
Character Roster
As for characters, you can pick from 28 different heroes and villains and there are 14 unique character abilities. Completing missions in-game will allow you to earn new appearances for the characters. You’ll be able to unlock iconic outfits such as Luke’s X-Wing pilot gear or Darth Maul donning his hood. MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains will launch on June 11th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 1 and 2, GeForce NOW, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The game costs $30 / £30 / €30 for either a digital or physical copy. Pre-orders are live on all digital stores and the physical version of this title is up for pre-order at various retailers such as Amazon. This edition of the game will be limited to the PS5, Switch 2 and Switch 1.
