Star Wars Force Arena, the real-time strategy and MOBA Mobile game developed by Netmarble Monster, is seeing a small resurgence thanks to a fan. The game has been unplayable for several years. Until now.
Force Arena, which shut down in 2019 still has many fans who wish to see the MOBA format brought back into the mix. While there’s no official way to play the game, the community can play games once again thanks to Reddit user u/Which-Specialist-438.
In a post on the r/starwarsgames subreddit, many fans replied with enthusiasm for the fan-project and Force Arena overall. Post author Which-Specalist-438 emphasized that while they were able to successfully bring the game back using Claude, an AI coding assistant, it still remains a work-in-progress. With more and more people using AI tools, we’re likely going to see more discontinued Star Wars games pop back up in the coming months.
“Long story short I was able to bring the game back to life using Claude. I still have more stuff to fix and implement, but what I’d like to know is if there would be more people interested in playing this and if we could revive a small community of players? If not I’ve would just focus on making a single player version with bots, but if there are people, then I would like to hear your thoughts.”

The game can be downloaded on Windows, Android and MacOS from the project’s website. There’s also a dedicated Discord server of over 150 people and counting.
With a newly found resurgence in the MOBA mobile gaming sphere for Star Wars and Force Arena in general, it begs the question: will Lucasfilm Games take notice?
