We’ve got some great news for fans of Star Wars Zero Company.
The turn-based tactical combat game thought by many to be a very niche genre before release, has now taken the spotlight with over a million copies sold since its initial launch on August 27th. The official EA Star Wars account confirmed the units sold in a Tweet on Friday:
“THANK YOU for supporting STAR WARS Zero Company. Stay tuned for continued updates to the game. Patch 1.2 will release next week”
This of course is fantastic especially after fans heard of previously furloughed developers returning to work on the game. In a recent article we covered how Bit Reactor CEO Greg Foertsch announced two days ago that many of the talented developers behind Zero Company are back at working on the game.
Furthermore, EA confirmed that game’s next patch, update 1.2, will release next week. This will be the first proper update in over a month.
With Bit Reactor’s team filling back in from the previous furlough it seems as though its full steam ahead for potential future content for Zero Company. Many fans are speculating that with much of the development team back at work that this could possibly be pointing towards future DLC for the game. What could this have in store for Hawk’s and the team? We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Zero Company and the one million plus operators that joined is their story since launch.
