The Force is strong with Amazon and Star Wars Galactic Racer. As the game races into people’s hands, another way to experience the thrilling debut title from Fuse Games has gone live.
Today, in a first ever event, Star Wars Galactic Racer is launching on Amazon Luna day and date with all other platforms. Luna lets Amazon Prime Members play the single-player campaign for free. This means you do not need to own the game to experience the top rated and innovate runs-based story mode! That’s a lot of great Star Wars for no additional cost.
With Prime reaching hundreds of millions of members around the world, the launch gives a massive audience an easy way to jump into the game without dedicated gaming hardware, playing on the devices you already own.
Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon tells Bespin Bulletin that “We’ve always believed Luna players deserve to be in the action from day one, and Star Wars Galactic Racer makes that a reality for the first time.” A big advantage of this is “Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download.” Gattis says “It’s exactly the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna, and we think players are going to love it.”

This is just one of the many big moments from Amazon Luna since it was reimagined for Prime members nearly a year ago including its recent update that lets Fire TV owners in the U.S. and U.K. play games directly through the Prime Video app. Since then, Luna has also added multiple exclusive games, recent blockbusters like Star Wars Outlaws, with more to come. Fans have been absolutely loving the open world Star Wars game on the platform.
