New features and content are coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 next week thanks to a dedicated team of fans.
The team behind the custom game launcher known as Kyber have confirmed their Party Update is finally arriving on Friday October 9th. This information was shared in their Discord server. The group of volunteers previously wanted this update out in early summer but perfection takes time. The main feature of this update is the most requested one for Kyber: a Party & Squad system.
Here’s everything included in this next update:
- Party & Squad system
- Network optimisations
- AFK timer
- Chat filter
- UI improvements
- Teleport commands
- Battle Point modifiers
- Damage and cooldown modifiers

Battlefront Plus Update
Kyber is not the only thing getting an update on October 9th. The next version of Battlefront Plus, Kyber’s official mod pack, will also launch alongside the launcher update. Whilst details on what will be included are still yet to be confirmed, we know things such as the Geonosian Starfighter, IG-88, Senate Commando and more have been in development.

According to the Kyber team, Battlefront Plus will have smaller but more frequent content updates going forward. There has not been any in some time but now the floodgates will seemingly open. A content roadmap detailing what’s next for Battlefront Plus will drop with the new updates next Friday. We’ll be sure to report on everything included in the roadmap and next week’s update right here at Bespin Bulletin.
In recent Battlefront 2 news, the game was one of the most downloaded games on PlayStation over the summer.
