Early in-development screenshots of Star Wars Zero Company have been released online. The images showcase a peek behind the curtain at how the turn-based tactics game evolved over time. From menus to gameplay and more, it’s really intriguing to see how fat the game has come.
Most of these images were leaked in early 2025 but now designer Chris Bartlett has published his work in full along with some new (old) looks at the game. Fun fact: he previously worked on Star Wars Rivals, a shooter game released by Disney Interactive in 2017.
Menus
Here’s an early version of the game’s main and pause menus. It’s cool to see the game’s codename logo “Star Wars Bruno” along with backgrounds from The Force Awakens and Rogue One.

These early gameplay screenshots are from a 2023 build of the game; around a year into development. The images show Bo Katan and an unknown Jedi (an early version of Tel-Rea?) facing off against Clone Troopers. Bo Katan was probably not part of the game at any point. Her Galaxy of Heroes character model is likely being used a placeholder for Cly Kullervo. She also has a green L0 droid with her, the same model as Lola from Obi-Wan Kenobi.
One Clone Trooper is carrying an electro staff. These Clones could simple be placeholders for droids such as the Magnaguard we got in the final game. That said, Purge Troopers have been datamined. There is an early look at the game’s UI too such as hit chance on the HUD, abilities, movement distance and more.
The Den
Here is a piece of concept art of The Den. We can see the general idea has always been there. Runa and Neesh can be seen at their stations but there’s also a “Special Ops” section that has been cut/reworked. The NPC at that station is called Neskaya Calabrine who was datamined recently alongside Bail Organa.
In other Zero Company news, the developers discuss whether they could bring the game to more platforms one day. Plus, the game has sold more than 1 million copies earning around $50m. Learn more here.
