Disney’s Star Wars attraction, Galaxy’s Edge, sees a new upgraded Lightsaber attraction as of October 5th, 2026. That’s according to the park’s official blog.
The offering includes new hilt themes based around ‘Protection and Defense’ in a classic High Republic gold or white coloring. Furthermore, the Lightsaber now have an upgrade in audio quality, while introducing brand-new audio effects such as spinning effects, deflection effects, and cutting effects. Pair the newly added effects with upgraded audio and an immersive blade activation for the ultimate Lightsaber experience.
“When paired with special, “cracked” Kyber crystals, a color-change effect can additionally be unlocked with a quick flick of the wrist, showcasing the inner battle between the light side and the dark side of the Force.”
Fans will also notice the new hilts display ancient Jedi symbols among other mysterious decorations. Place yourself into the High Republic era using these Lightsabers in a time where Jedi stood at the forefront of peace and prosperity.
