The events of Ezra Bridger’s daring escape off of planet Peridea at the end of Ahsoka, season one, are finally coming to light according to an official Star Wars blog.
Although we have since seen Ezra return from his noble sacrifice that led him and the Empire’s Grand Admiral Thrawn to the planet Peridea thanks to Ahsoka season 1, fans have been left to theorize how Ezra himself was able to withstand the might of Thrawn’s forces on his way home from exile.
Now, thanks to Marvel Comics and Ahsoka creator and Lucasfilm’s President, Dave Filoni, fans will get the untold story through a five part mini-series titled ESCAPE FROM THRAWN.
“The comic follows an unseen adventure for fan-favorite hero Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) as he evades Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) during his covert escape from Peridea at the end of Season 1 – His fight to return is far from over! Hunted across hyperspace with nowhere to hide, the rebel hero must now evade Captain Enoch, counter the dark magick of the Nightsisters, and outwit the Empire’s greatest strategist”

The newly-announced mini-series is written by Rodney Barnes, featuring a cover my Phil Noto with interior art by Andrea Di Vito. Fans can expect issue #1 of the five-issue mini series to launch on January 20th, 2027, the same day of Ahsoka season two’s premier. Immerse yourself in a galaxy far far away by reading this tie-in for the show and getting a better understanding of the hero, Ezra Bridger’s journey back from his exile that left viewers wanting more.
Star Wars fan current attending New York Comic Con can learn more about the upcoming mini series on October 9th at 11 a.m. by joining Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away… panel in Room 409.
