The part of a galaxy far, far away that Fuse Games have created with Star Wars Galactic Racer may not be constrained to the video game medium. That’s according to the head of Lucasfilm Games.
After what seems to be an extremely successful launch earlier this month, both Fuse Games and Lucasfilm are looking forward to the future of more racing stories. Lucasfilm Games Vice President Douglas Reilly was quizzed by The Games Business on various topics including what does the future hold for Star Wars Galactic Racer’s corner of the galaxy.
The exec told the outlet that what fans like guides them on where to take things next. Here’s what he had to say on Galactic Racer and Sta Wars games in general:
“Star Wars doesn’t just disappear 3 weeks after launch. We have a whole ecosystem of potential ways of taking these characters and stories and applying them to a whole bunch of other expressions that we know our fans love to see the gaming experience and the characters they played with show up in other places doing other things inside the Star Wars galaxy.
It rewards that connected fandom in a very unique way that we’re fortunate to have. So, we’re always looking for like, ‘okay, what worked and what excited people.’ Let’s lean in and and try and give them more of what they want.”
This interview was actually conducted ahead of Biddy Blas’ viral takeover so at that time the VP had no idea what was about to take hold on so social media.

When we got Star War Resistance and had an episode of Riot Racing in The Bad Batch, fans were so excited to see high octane racing after such a long gap. Could we see Biddy Blas show up in more canon material, a comic, book or even a racing animated show? The Biddy Blas takeover is coming! Possibly.
This game contains a lot of unique and colourful characters which the fan base has thoroughly enjoyed so far. There is absolutely more that can be done with them and it doesn’t just have to be yes another tie in comic or book cameo.
In other Star Wars Galactic Racer, the dev team have big plans for more content in the game itself. Learn more here.
