Star Wars Galactic Racer is now complete. Fuse Games have published a statement sharing a monumental milestone as the game speeds into view.
We’re still about 7 weeks away from launch but Fuse Games and their partners have put together a racing game and are sticking it on the start line ahead of schedule. Star Wars Galactic Racer has been shaping up to be one of the best and most anticipated games of the year and this news will just add to the excitement.
In a blog post on the Fuse Games website, studio CEO Matt Webster told fans that Star Wars Galactic Racer has officially gone gold. You can read Matt’s full statement below:
“Going Gold is a traditional term in gaming that denotes when a game is finished and ready for release to manufacture. It refers to the days where a Gold disc was created as a master to then press physical copies.
For a team, it’s a significant milestone. It represents all the effort, talent, sacrifice, and learning that’s poured in to creating a video game. The finalling process in development is a real challenge. We’re wired to see all that’s wrong with our creation and want to make everything even better but, as we look ahead to release, we’re thrilled with the game that we’ve made as an expression of the vision that we brought together just after we started Fuse in 2023.
We want to bring the best expression of our vision that we can to players, bringing art and science together to get through our quality targets, through the QA and certification processes at publishers and first party partners to reach Gold is worth a celebration and so we’re sharing that with you all today. We can’t wait to see and hear what you think of the game we’ve built.”
The last few months are all for polishing the game. A piece of artwork showing Shade and Hibi with a gold disc was also made for the occasion which you can find below.
