Brand new details from Star Wars Starfighter have been leaked and we now know names of characters, a Jedi planet and more.
It has been quite some time since detailed and legitimate Star Wars leaks have been published but now those wanting a sneak peek at what will come next May are in for a treat.
This new information is coming from the renowned Star Wars leaker known as MakingStarWars who previously gave us plot leaks on most of the Disney Star Wars productions. He has now posted a series of Tweets on Star Wars Starfighter and we’ll be covering all of them below.
Protagonist Details
Firstly, let’s start with the name of our new protagonists. Ryan Gosling is playing Cade and Flynn Gray is playing a character with a name that sounds like Rone or Ronin. It is unknown if either has a surname. Flynn also uses an American accent.
Cade is a rogue/Han Solo-style protagonist according to MSW. He also wears a necklace that is said to be important. It is reported that early in development, Cade is the best friend of Flynn Gray’s father. Amy Adams will play Flynn’s character’s mother.
Ryan Gosling’s role in the film is to safely transport Cade to a new planet called Adaria as it has Jedi academy/refuge. It is said Gosling and Gray have a tremendous amount of chemistry. Director Shawn Levy is credited with having a good track record working with child actors with Stranger Things.
Jedi Planet Info
Now for a description of the new planet Adaria. It is described as lush green location but has a muddy contrast. It is East Asian-inspired and has tiki-style huts. On set, large mechanical struts, possibly landing gear were present. As we know, Tom Cruise turned up on set to film a Lightsaber duel scene in a muddy location. Now we know that duel took place on Adaria.
This location also has Jedi. The Jedi appeared to resemble padawans; similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin at the end of Episode I The Phantom Menace.
More Character Leaks
Speaking of Jedi and Lightsabers, Mia Goth and Aaron Pierre have a Lightsaber duel on Adaria. Pierre is connected to the Jedi sanctuary on Adaria in some way.
Additionally, Ryan Gosling’s wife, Eva Mendes, supposedly has an interesting role. This is something Bespin Bulletin heard quite some time ago but chose not to report it. Mendes’ character is described as being a “fully glammed out cantina owner named Belle”. This character is also not human as she is 650 years old. Her outfit is a set of “gold skin-tight pants, corset with a golden cape.”
In other recent Star Wars Starfighter news, footage of the film was shown behind closed doors to attendees of CineEurope. Also, the film has already been edited into a watchable cut according to actor Matt Smith. You can learn more about what he had to see on the film here.
