The upcoming video game, MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains, has had its release date pushed back by a few weeks.
The latest title from developer Behavior Interactive and publisher Ubisoft will see fan-favourite Star Wars characters from the prequel, original trilogy and sequel era films and shows battle it out. This is not just a typical Monopoly reskin but rather a new version of the game with some Star Wars-only twists.
The game was originally confirmed to release on Thursday June 11th which would be next week. However, Ubisoft announced on social media posts that the game would now launch on Tuesday June 30th. That’s just over two weeks later than initially planned.
They thanked fans for their patience and said that they “cannot wait to share it with you.” The social posts also came with an image of the game’s key art complete with the new release date.
No reason has been given by Ubisoft for the delay. Given the nature of video game development, it is likely the game needed another few weeks in the oven to come out ripe for fans to enjoy. It also gives fans more time to pre-order the game from their preferred store and grab the pre-order bonus.

MONOPOLY: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains will launch on June 30th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 1 and 2, GeForce NOW, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders with bonuses are live on all digital stores and the physical version of this title is up for pre-order at various retailers such as Amazon. This edition of the game will be limited to the PS5, Switch 2 and Switch 1.
