Star Wars Battlefront’s DLT-19x targeting blaster looks to making it’s live action debut next month in The Mandalorian and Grogu. The legions of fans for DICE’s games will be excited to see yet another weapon made by the Swedish studio is being brought into live action Star Wars content.
The weapon was first introduced in 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront; the best-selling Star Wars game of all time. It also appeared in its sequel, Star Wars Battlefront II and was Inferno Squad member Del Meeko’s weapon of choice during the single player campaign.
The DLT-19x targeting blaster is a modified version of the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle. It offers long range sniping capabilities complete with a high zoom scope. It is one of the most powerful blasters around making it a top choice for Imperial sharpshooters.
The DLT-19x is considered one of the best weapons in DICE’s first Battlefront game and was a bigger part of the game’s meta towards the end of its life cycle. The blaster was first introduced via Hutt Contracts in the Outer Rim update back in March 2016.

The reveal of this blaster being part of the upcoming movie comes from product photos of a new Hot Toys item as spotted by CobaltGreen1138. The company revealed their 1/6th scale Imperial Remnant AT-RT Driver taken directly from the film. One of the product photos features an Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper with DLT-19x in hand off to the right-hand side. You can view the image below.

Bringing More Battlefront
It is possible that the blaster does not end up appearing on screen in final cut of the film next month. That would be disappointing if so. Hopefully the DLT-19x does get some screen time and joins the list of recent live action first appearances for other Star Wars Battlefront weapons.
In Andor Season 2, the TL-50 Heavy Repeater complete with the secondary fire attachment can be seen during Luthen’s flashback sequence. Cinta Kaz uses the game’s Trip Mines (as an EMP device) on Ghorman. Also, a larger version of the Smart Rocket was made for the show and is carried by Range Troopers. Meanwhile Ahsoka Season 2 will have a Rocket Trooper that might be based on the one seen in Battlefront 2.
Last month we reported how Star Wars Battlefront 2 continues to be one of the most downloaded games on PlayStation. Learn more here.
The Mandalorian and Grogu releases in theatres on May 22nd.
