Star Wars Galactic Racer just received its first proper post-launch update. It contains a number of new features, tweaks and improvements to the game. We’ll be taking a look at the full patch notes which Fuse Games shared on the game’s official website.
This update is out now, October 22nd, on all platforms. You’ll have to download it before you next play the game.
Quality-of-Life Update Patch Notes
- Increased Multiplayer Party size from 3 to 6
- Keyboard Layout Presets
An increase to the number of credits you receive when you join mid-Tour in online multiplayer from 4,000 to 6,000. - Transition tidy-ups for Spectator camera view in multiplayer.
- Removal of the option to ‘Exit the game’ in the multiplayer menu on PC to stop accidental quits.
- A number of party stability fixes.
- A fix for a PS5 connection issue.
- A fix for an issue that would cause an AMD Frame Interpolation game crash.
Whilst this update does not contain custom keybinds which has been highly requested, the team stress they will be bringing the feature in a later update.
“We know that the lack of key re-binding support in the game is impacting the experience of our mouse & keyboard players. We’ve added multiple keyboard layout presets to support AZERTY keys and left/right-handed play as part of this update.
This is the first step towards addressing this feedback and one that we were able to implement quickly. Key rebinding support is on the horizon and will be included in a future update.”
Hopefully we get proper keybinding in the next update alongside things such as private matches.
