The second and final season of the critically acclaimed Andor is due to hit our screens on April 22nd with its first three episodes. The series will then release three episodes a week up until May 13th when the final three episodes will air and conclude the series.
One question I get asked fairly often is the runtimes for various Star Wars series. I usually don’t like to talk about runtimes as the conversations around them can become insufferable to me as some will complain about an episodes length before seeing the episode. At least to me, it doesn’t matter what the episode runtime is before we see the episode and if the episode is paced well, that is all that matters. If it’s not and the runtime felt like it hurt the episode because the speedy pacing of a shorter didn’t allow moments to simmer, brushed past key points etc. or if a longer one just felt as if it was dragging out its time, then sure, complain away.
However, I’m sure readers who care about the runtimes of episodes before watching them might be happy with the runtimes of Andor season two. Half the season is over fifty minutes and the other half is above forty. The highest runtime of an episode is episode nine with fifty eight minutes on the clock, whereas episode eleven clocks in with forty two minutes as the shortest.
Below you can find the runtimes for all twelve episodes of Andor season two. I must stress to readers that it is my belief that the runtimes listed include both recaps and credits. I’ve been told these runtimes by more than one source, and they’re individuals I trust so I believe the listings to be accurate.

- Episode One – 51 minutes
- Episode Two – 44 Minutes
- Episode Three – 53 Minutes
- Episode Four – 54 Minutes
- Episode Five – 54 Minutes
- Episode Six – 54 Minutes
- Episode Seven – 44 Minutes
- Episode Eight – 47 Minutes
- Episode Nine – 58 Minutes
- Episode Ten – 48 Minutes
- Episode Eleven – 42 Minutes
- Episode Twelve – 46 Minutes
I’m very much looking forward to the second and final season of Andor. The series is without question my favourite thing created under the Disney ownership and is one of the best pieces of Star Wars media ever created, in my opinion.
Everything I know about the second season only excites me even more with series feeling darker, bigger and even more shocking. The series has always been more mature than other Disney+ Star Wars efforts which is of course present in its age rating and with Disney previously choosing to air the series on FX, a more adult network than ABC, a family friendly network than The Mandalorian has aired on.
However, I can’t say that I’m looking forward to the discourse around the season when it airs. Whether that’s due to changes to canon, a recast or some mature moments and themes being explored. And yes, the Bix rumour going around is accurate. But let’s not lose our heads before seeing any of these events…please.
