Star Wars Starfighter will be getting some LEGO sets based on it according to a new leak.
Whilst it is hardly surprising that a theatrical Star Wars release is getting LEGO sets, it is still good to know. This is also exciting as the film is a standalone and what we will see in the movie should be mostly new and unique designs from a galaxy, far, far away. The prospect of getting some really interesting starships in LEGO form only builds excitement amongst consumers. No doubt leading man Ryan Gosling will be getting another minifig based on his likeness.Â
According to LEGO leaker a.clay.brick, the Shawn Levy-directed flick is said to get an initial wave of three sets. No release date has been given for these but seeing as the film is releasing at the end of next May, there is a good chance we’ll get some sets as part of the spring wave from LEGO.

An initial wave suggests there will be more than just three sets currently planned for Star Wars Starfighter. In comparison to previous films, three sets is actually quite low. Both Solo and The Mandalorian and Grogu had several sets in the launch wave.Â
LEGO could be airing on the side of caution here given the downward trajectory of interest in Star Wars and the recent box office bomb that is The Mandalorian and Grogu. On top of that, Lucasfilm is notorious for struggling to provide LEGO with a decent amount of quality source material ahead of a new project releasing.
The recent story details leak also gives us things to think about. Could we get a Jedi retreat of sorts as a playset? We’ll just have to wait for more LEGO leaks.
