Star Wars Eclipse is much closer to completion than you think. That’s according to a new rumour. The same source for this report has also provided detailed characters that will lead the game’s cast and more. We’ll be taking a detailed look at everything that is being reported.
The latest Star Wars Eclipse rumours are coming from the Twitter account known as FivesWalker. For those unaware about their track record, they got some details about the Maul – Shadow Lord show correct many months before things were confirmed. Also, they were first to report that James Mangold’s Dawn of the Jedi movie is dead before a reputable journalist said the same thing.
Since then, they have been putting out a lot of Star Wars film and show rumours. None of them have come to fruition just yet though so the jury is still out on their credibility outside of a few things. Therefore, what you read below is not completely certain at this moment in time.
Star Wars Eclipse Progress Report
According to the Twitter account, Quantic Dream’s game is “very far along”. However, it “still has a ways to go”. This is not dissimilar to what Insider Gaming reported back in April. The reputable outlet revealed back then that lots of the game has been completed already but progress has pretty much been non-existent for several months. So this part of the leak isn’t anything we did not know already. According to Insider Gaming, the game is now in development hell and Quantic Dream are looking for a buyout.
Issues With Lucasfilm?

FivesWalker also claims that “the rumors are true about issues between Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm”. This is the first time we and I think pretty much everyone are hearing about such rumours so we aren’t sure what they are referring to here.
Despite alleged friction between Lucasfilm and Quantic Dream, “the game will absolutely still come out” according to FivesWalker. That’s quite a statement considering video game development is extremely complex and unpredictable. Nothing is certain until it is in people’s hands. Why? We’ve seen a number of games get cancelled even though pre-orders were taken and in rare cases just days away from release (see Star Wars First Assault).
Quantic Dream just cancelled a game in early access which was said to help fun more developers for Eclipse. The studio’s future is somewhat uncertain at this moment in time. This segment of the Tweet is not much of a leak but someone’s personal opinion. Whilst we personally are of the belief the game will see the light of day, we can’t be certain it will.
Main Character Details

In another Tweet, the account says there are “multiple lead characters you play as with different points of view in a larger grand-scale story.” The game is “very large” in scope.
As for some of the main characters, FivesWalker says one of the protagonists you can play as is a “traditional young Jedi. Idealistic, good-hearted, whose limits are tested as he enters into morally questionable and dangerous situations among an unexplored region/nation of the galaxy.”
Another is a “non-Force-sensitive girl, working much like Rey, nearly as an indentured servant on a barren junk planet. She’s poor and starved, but not alone like Rey was.”
The girl has a “kind old man, surrogate grandfather”. He “has taken care of her since she was very little. But now he’s sick, and his illness might just radicalize her into starting a revolution, even if it means going up against Force-sensitives.”
The details on a lead girl are not entirely new. Casting sheets leaked last year revealed a bunch of deals about a lead teen girl. Some of the info noted was that she had a “hard life” although she had to care for herself and ends up becoming a leader.
Weather any of the rumours from FivesWalker are real remains to be seen. Fans will still be excited to learn more about Star Wars Eclipse though given the lack of video game leaks. Let’s see what the remainder of the year brings for Star Wars Eclipse.
