Star Wars Galactic Racer is shaping up to be a smash hit. There’s a lot of confidence among the game’s publisher ahead of its release in less than a couple of weeks.
In a new interview with gamesindustry.biz, execs from the game’s publisher Secret Mode gush over the game. Chief Publishing Officer James Schall states that the game’s wishlist figures so far are “phenomenal.”
Whilst it is lagging behind Zero Company on Steam in terms or pre-orders from what we can see on SteamDB, it likely has a huge console player base in waiting. Where the turn based tactic title was always going to be bigger on PC, Racer is going to appeal to those who prefer a controller. Pre-Zero Company launch had the debut title from Fuse Games well ahead of the EA-published Clone Wars game in various metrics.
Secret Mode CEO Ed Blincoe added that he and his company are “Secret Mode CEO Ed Blincoe added that he and his company are “really confident” in Galactic Racer. They first got hands on a little over 12 months ago and thought it was “exceptional” immediately.
Since then Fuse Games have said to have made the game even better. Secret Mode signed to publish the game at the end of last September and convinced Emona Capital to invest in the game.
