The first teaser trailer for Star Wars Starfighter is said to be coming soon. That’s according to an official and licensed Star Wars publication.
Star Wars Insider is the long running magazine offering fans fantastical insights into the franchise both past, present and future. It was announced last year that the outlet would cease publication in 2026. That time has now come. Issue 237, the May 2026 issue, will be the final one.
Whilst officially releasing on May 5th to coincide with Star Wars Day celebrations, one fan has received it ahead of the street state. Having read through it, they have discovered there are a couple of bits of exclusive information.
May 4th Teaser?
Reddit user BZPJMJ64 shared a photo from a page about the future of Star Wars in the issue. The magazine states that fan should “watch out for a teaser trailer for 2027’s big release, Star Wars Starfighter, sometimes soon.”
The film will release on May 28th 2027 so just over a year away. Given May 4th, Star Wars Day, is just around the corner, perhaps we will get a little bit of something from the Ryan Gosling and Shawn Levy-driven production.
Or maybe it will come attached to The Mandalorian and Grogu when that releases in cinemas just a few weeks from now. It would be smart of Disney and Lucasfilm to give fans just a little taste of the big budget blockbuster they’ve got coming post-Mandalorian and Grogu.
We can only hope that Star Wars inside her was not merely speculating in their final issue. Regardless of if Starfighter gets something on May 4th, Monday will be an absolutely humongous day for Star Wars fans. The finale of Maul – Shadow Lord will air, we anticipate Star Wars video game news, there has been some talk of an Ahsoka Season 2 trailer (though this may not be entirely credible) and more. We would also expect to see some promotional material for The Mandalorian and Grogu too.
