Epic Games have released an update to Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) containing dozens of Star Wars droids.
As part of the latest Fortnite Ecosystem Updates (version 41.10), Epic have revealed a number of new additions and changes spanning the Fortnite universe. In terms of a galaxy far, far away, the Star Wars toolkit now includes droids and a new tauntaun variant. The info was announced via the update’s patch notes on Epic’s documentation website.
These Are The Droids You’re Looking For
Over 30 Star Wars droids are now available in UEFN. The list includes B1 Battle Droids such as Mister Bones, B2 Super Battle Droids, BB units such as BB-8, BDX Explorer, Gonk Droids, Pit Droids, Mouse Droids, RX-Series (R-3X), R Series Droids, Probe Droids and more. The image below will show off all of them:
These droids were previously in Droid Tycoon but now can be used by anyone including you. They all feature a control rig for you to animate these iconic Star Wars characters. Some of the droids also support the option to change the color of the paint.
Mountain Tauntaun
On top of that, the Mountain Tauntaun variant can now be used in different biomes and gameplay. The rideable Tauntaun is available in UEFN as a new character type in the NPC character definition.
It’s great to see Epic continuing to add more content to Star Wars for UEFN. Whilst this is not everything fans have been asking for since the launch in May, it is something post launch at least.
