LEGO Star Wars Castaways, the award-winning adventure title from Gameloft, will probably cease to exist within days. That’s according to a notice from Apple.
The game has seen a long-lasting lifespan of over 5 years with dozens of substantial content updates. However, its days are numbered. Fans that enjoyed hanging out on the island will have to go elsewhere.
In an update to their Apple Arcade subscribers, the Cupertino-based company says LEGO Star Wars Castaways will leave the service at the end of this month, October 2026. This was first spotted by a fan account on Twitter. The game currently has a SOLO: A Star Wars Story themed event taking place through Halloween.
Given this is an always-online game and has always only been part of Apple Arcade, there will be no way to access it as of now. Gameloft have yet to comment on this nor offer a contingency so players can keep on enjoying the cosy game. At some point, this will likely get the same treatment as other shutdown mobile Star Wars games have: AI-assisted reverse engineering.
Whilst this game might seem unknown to some, it has had a die-hard community that take part in daily/weekly challenges plus events spanning the entire Skywalker Saga and beyond. The game was so well-made, it won Apple’s coveted “Apple Design Award” for its visuals and graphics in 2022.
In other LEGO Star Wars news, The Skywalker Saga game is leaving XBOX Game Pass at the end of the month too. Learn more here.
